The scope of work includes the delivery of a 22.7-kilometer single-track freight railway, encompassing all civil, structural, and railway systems. The project also encompasses major structural components, notably a 265-meter bridge across a key regional highway and a 118-meter bridge over the ARAMCO Pipeline Corridor, alongside integrated signaling, telecommunications, and utility coordination works to ensure seamless integration with Saudi Arabia’s national rail network.

Hassan Allam Construction, a subsidiary of Hassan Allam Holding, has been awarded a landmark USD 250 million contract for the construction of the African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank) African Trade Centre, the bank’s largest global complex, which will also host its new headquarters building, to be located in the New Capital of Egypt.
Among the top dignitaries who attended the stone-laying ceremony for the construction of AATC in the New Capital was H.E. Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister of the Arab Republic of Egypt, H.E. Mr. Hassan Abdalla, Governor of the Central Bank of Egypt, Eng. Hassan Allam, CEO of Hassan Allam Holding, Eng. Mohamed El Dahshoury, CEO of Hassan Allam Construction, Dr. George Elombi, President and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Afreximbank.
The project includes the turnkey construction of a comprehensive development that will serve as Afreximbank&#8217;s global headquarters. The scope covers the main Afreximbank Headquarters Building, a 110-room apartment hotel. The complex will also feature trade and business facilities, including a knowledge and innovation hub, corporate museum, SME incubation centre, a 750-seater conference centre, exhibition spaces, retail and dining outlets, support facilities, and a 1,200-bay parking structure.
In addition to full civil works, the contract covers comprehensive electrical and mechanical systems, hard and soft landscaping, as well as the complete supply and installation of Furniture, Fixtures and Equipment (FF&amp;E). The project is designed as a green, sustainable project, reflecting Afreximbank&#8217;s and Hassan Allam Holding&#8217;s commitment to modern, efficient, and environmentally responsible built environments. Together, these elements will form a modern African Trade Centre designed to facilitate trade, policy dialogue, and collaboration across the continent.

He added: “We envision the project will be completed within 36 months and will create approximately 8,000 direct and indirect jobs during construction, and approximately 1,000 jobs during the operational phase. The iconic twin-tower New Capital AATC will position Egypt as a trade hub. It will house tech and SME incubation centres, as well as a digital African trade gateway offering trade information, customer due diligence, payments, and other digital services. The AATC also comes with conference and exhibition facilities to boost tourism and create jobs for local Egyptians.”
This collaboration goes further than conventional financing arrangements, anchored instead in a shared vision for infrastructure development, sustainability, and Africa&#8217;s economic transformation. The planned community spans more than 228,000 m² with an investment value exceeding SAR 3.3 billion, contributing to the objectives of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 Housing Program, which aims to increase homeownership to 70% by 2030 through public-private partnerships led by the NHC. Hassan Allam Utilities Energy Platform, a renewable energy investment vehicle established by Hassan Allam Utilities and co-owned by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), and Meridiam announced  along with Infinity Power, Africa’s largest renewable energy company the signing of complementary agreements with the Ministry of Electricity and Renewable Energy and the Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company (EETC) to develop two major renewable energy projects with a total capacity of 1,200 MW of solar power and 720 MWh of battery storage. This is the second project for Hassan Allam Utilities  Energy in Egypt
The agreements were signed in the presence of Dr. Mahmoud Esmat, Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy, and represent a major step forward in implementing Egypt’s National Energy Strategy. The projects aim to maximize the role of renewable energy in the national mix, reduce dependence on fossil fuels, and enhance grid stability through advanced storage technologies.
Under the signed agreements, the consortium will develop a 200 MW solar power plant in Benban targeting to reach commercial operation within Q3 2026 , including 120 MWh of connected battery storage, and a 1,000 MW solar power plant in Minya, incorporating 600 MWh of storage capacity targeting to reach commercial operation within Q3 2027. These landmark projects will play a vital role in supporting Egypt’s ambition to increase the contribution of renewables to 42% of the total energy mix by 2030, and 65% by 2040, reinforcing the country’s position as a regional leader in clean energy and sustainable development.
Infinity Power continues to play a pivotal role in shaping Africa’s renewable energy landscape. With a growing portfolio of solar, wind, and storage projects across Egypt, South Africa, and Senegal, the company is driving innovation and regional integration in clean energy. Its strategic focus on scalable technologies and grid infrastructure—positions Infinity Power as a key enabler of energy security and sustainability across the continent, with a clear vision to reach 10 GW of operational capacity by 2030.

Today, the Hassan Allam Utilities Energy Platform holds a current portfolio of 2.3 GW under development and expected to achieve commercial operation in phases starting Q3 2026 and ending in Q3 2027 with a total investment of USD 2 billion, alongside a pipeline of 1.65 GW with an expected total investment cost of USD 1.5 billion, which includes 350 MW of solar and 1.3 GW of wind projects. This new collaboration marks another milestone in expanding the platform’s clean energy footprint and advancing Egypt’s renewable energy ambitions.

Cairo – YANMU EAST Logistics Park has achieved EDGE Advanced certification for its sustainably designed warehouses. This accomplishment underscores YANMU’s leadership in sustainable logistics infrastructure in Egypt. YANMU Logistics Park marks the first collaborative venture between HAU Logistics, an established logistics-focused investment platform between Hassan Allam Utilities and A.P. Moller Capital, and Agility in establishing cutting-edge logistics parks and Grade A warehouses in Egypt.
EDGE, which stands for &#8220;Excellence in Design for Greater Efficiencies,&#8221; is a green building standard and certification system developed by the International Finance Corporation (IFC), the private sector development arm of the World Bank Group. It promotes sustainable development by encouraging resource-efficient designs that reduce emissions and operational costs. To support these sustainability goals, IFC offers a 2.8% cashback on construction loans for projects that meet EDGE standards in collaboration with CIB.
At YANMU East Logistics Park, three warehouses have already achieved EDGE Advanced certification, boasting impressive savings: 49% in energy, 53% in water, and a 59% reduction in embodied carbon. Under the MoU, the organizations will collaborate to assess the impact of Hassan Allam Holding’s sustainability efforts. They will also strengthen the Group’s internal capacity to monitor and evaluate sustainability initiatives and programs.

Our engineering, procurement, and construction scope of work includes upgrading the plant from primary to secondary treatment, including sludge digestion, biogas generation, refurbishment of existing facilities, and construction of new treatment units. The plant post upgrade will have a capacity of 600,000 m³/day to meet national effluent standards.
Additionally, Intech, a subsidiary of Hassan Allam Holding, with vast experience in EPC water and wastewater services, is actively involved in the project, ensuring seamless integration of advanced technologies and efficient delivery.

The upgraded system will enhance connectivity, reduce trip time by 48%, and improve headway by 66%, with interchanges to the Abu Quir Metro and Alex City Tram.
This transformative project is set to upgrade the Alexandria Raml Tram into a modern, reliable, and efficient transit system, preserving the grandeur and history of the city while driving sustainable urban development. This landmark transaction is a significant milestone in the evolution of Egypt’s debt capital market, particularly given its purpose to finance a greenfield mixed-use real estate project.
Bab Misr is a Mixed-Use Complex Project located in Mohandeseen. The project, developed by Hassan Allam Holding, spans 100,000 m² and includes 17 buildings dedicated to commercial, administrative, residential, medical, and garage spaces. It forms a key part of the development surrounding the Upper Egypt railway station, Egypt’s largest railway station.
