Senior Contract Engineer
(Cairo, Egypt)
-Administer ongoing contracts, including monitoring of contract compliance for all projects.
-Ensure appropriate levels of communication with clients; establish control of and monitor client correspondence, data, and reports.
-Ensure the administration of the contract is in line with the project requirements.
-Management of risk/ assessments, as well as providing a strategic approach to support claim resolution procedures.
-Regular meetings with clients, contractors, and partners to resolve any outstanding disputes via amicable and Contract conditions.
-Ensure delivery of successful preparation of the statement of claims and defenses.
-Prepare a contract synopsis to develop awareness among project teams.
-Interact with different departments and maintain healthy relationships.
-Develop and maintain systems and processes related to contract administration and reporting and ensure issues reported on are actioned appropriately.
-Supervise and manage all contracts /claims administration activities in line with the company’s policies and procedures.
-Reviews contract drafts and other project-specific agreements to ensure the company’s interests are adequately protected.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
- 9 to 12 Years of Work Experience.
- Contractual and Legal Aspects of the Construction Industry (CLAC) or higher.
- Strong commercial knowledge (acquainted with financial and economic principles) MBA would be an advantage.
- Knowledge of a single or multi-disciplinary construction and/or engineering operation relating to field activities.
- Project Management theory
- Familiar with the Egyptian Civil Code, Administrative Law 182/2018.
- Familiar with the general features of the laws of England and Wales.
- Acquainted with Legal drafting techniques.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent.
- Fluent in English / French (written and spoken).
