New Zone in Toshka Land Reclamation
22 August 2022Hassan Allam Holding is pleased to announce that its subsidiary Hassan Allam Construction has been awarded a new project under the Toshka South Valley Agriculture Development. The project will see Hassan Allam Construction construct 124 km of irrigation infrastructure with diameters ranging from 200 to 1400 mm for the new zone O. This zone has a total area of 29,000 acres and will see 16,000 acres reclaimed for agricultural use. The Toshka land reclamation project is a megaproject by the Egyptian government which seeks to transform desert land into agricultural land. The reclaimed land will primarily be used for wheat production as part of the government's import substitution program, which seeks to enhance national self-sufficiency in wheat production. Hassan Allam Construction has been a major player in constructing irrigation infrastructure in the Toshka project. The company has completed 160,000 acres for land reclamation in Toshka.
